Please note that the conference has now taken place for 2013; this website is an archive. The UKCRC PHRCoE 5th Annual Conference will take place in 2014 and will be hosted by the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies; more information will be announced nearer the time. If you have any questions about the 2013 conference, please contact Zoe Macdonald on [email protected]. A blog containing a selection of tweets from the conference, 'UKCRC PHRCoE 4th Annual Conference: what the Twittersphere thought' can be found here.
Social media
DECIPHer is keen to facilitate the involvement of social media in the conference. Delegates are encouraged to tweet in advance of and during the conference using the hashtag #PHRCoE13.
Sessions may be 'live-tweeted' from the @DECIPHerCentre Twitter account and delegates are encouraged to engage with this using their own accounts. Some useful notes on tweeting from academic conferences can be found here. Free wifi will be available at the conference venue; details of how to access this will be available on the day.
If you are presenting a paper or running a workshop and will be discussing content that you do not wish to be tweeted, please contact Zoe Macdonald ([email protected]) or Catt Turney ([email protected]).
A piece about the conference will be produced for the DECIPHer blog in July. Delegates from outside DECIPHer are invited to contribute to this piece; if you wish to discuss this, please contact Catt Turney.
