Social events
PhD students and early career researchers event
PhD students and early career researchers attending the conference are invited to meet for drinks on the evening of Monday 8 July from 17:00 onwards, at Henry's Café Bar, Park Chambers, Park Place, CF10 3DN.
Please note that refreshments will not be provided but there will be a cash bar.
Representatives from DECIPHer will be meeting delegates at Senghennydd Hall
reception at 16:30 to walk to Henry's.
Drinks reception and conference dinner
All conference delegates are invited to attend the conference dinner, which will take place on Tuesday 9 July from 19:45, preceded by a drinks reception at 19:15. These will take place at the SWALEC Stadium. Dress code for the dinner is smart.
Transport to the dinner venue will be provided, departing from National Museum Wales at 19:00. Alternatively, the venue is a pleasant and short walk (around one and a half miles) from the university accommodation. Delegates who wish to walk to the venue are invited to meet DECIPHer staff and students in front of the National Museum Wales at 18:30. The walking route is marked on the map available on the 'How to get here' page and in the conference brochure.

Alternatively, the venue is a pleasant and short walk (around one and a half miles) from the university accommodation. Delegates who wish to walk to the venue are invited to meet DECIPHer staff and students in front of the National Museum Wales at 18:30. Return transport will be provided from the dinner venue to university accommodation, departing every half an hour from 23:00 to 00:30.
Please register in advance for the dinner and outward transport using the registration form. There is no need to register in advance for return transport. Spaces at the dinner are guaranteed for each centre's allocation of 25 staff/students and five guests; any centre exceeding this number should contact Zoe Macdonald to discuss registering additional delegates.
